Guildford Liberal Democrats: The positive choice for Guildford

Ruth Reed chosen for Ewhurst by-election

12.00.00am GMT Thu 23rd Feb 2006

The Liberal Democrats have selected Ruth Reed to stand in the Ewhurst by-election on March 23rd.

The election is set to be very close, with the Lib Dems just 46 votes behind the Conservatives in 2003.

Ruth has a wealth of experience in helping local people having been caseworker for popular former MP Sue Doughty. She is determined to campaign for our local environment, to save Cranleigh Village Hospital and to hold the Tories to account for the money they are wasting on Surrey County Council.
