Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Guildford Sue Doughty will be attending 964 Eagle's Live Music in Guildford Forum on October 25th.

The public forum about the future of live music in Guildford will give local people the opportunity to discuss the way forward for music in Guildford.

Since the closure of Guildford Civic Hall, the town has not had a venue suitable for large concerts. Plans for a new civic have now been made after years of waiting, although we do not yet know when the project will be completed.

Sue Doughty said, "Live performances are very important to the local community and since the Civic closed, a lot of people in and around Guildford feel they have missed out on music. This forum will allow us to plan for the future of music in Guildford. We are delighted that Peter Gordon of The Eagle has set up another meeting. We need lots of choice for people to go and listen to music and other live events. It is particularly important that young people are able to go out and enjoy themselves, often getting the chance to hear the famous acts of the future."
