Historic Cranleigh Hospital building to be saved

4.53.24pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 7th Jul 2009

Following clarification that the historic parts of Cranleigh Village Hospital are not now to be demolished, Sue Doughty said

"This is very good news indeed. Although it is sad that this wasn't made clear from the outset, it is generally agreed that this building is significant in the history of local healthcare. I hope that in the future it can become a study centre to show how Cranleigh people were looked after over the years.
