Helping launch the Lib Dem West Surrey campaign!

On Thursday, the Liberal Democrats launched our campaign for the West Surrey local elections in May. I was delighted to join members and candidates at the launch event in Woking, as we work to secure full control of the new council and deliver the benefits we know Lib Dem leadership brings.

Across Surrey, Lib Dem councillors have already shown what difference we can make – from helping pull Woking back from financial collapse to restoring stability in Guildford.

The Liberal Democrats have never led Surrey County Council – the body responsible for vital services such as SEND support and pothole repairs – but this May represents a rare and important chance to change things for the better.

The new unitary council will give the councillors you elect to represent Guildford and our villages a unique opportunity to reshape how our area is run.
