Guildford Borough Councillor for Shalford
Dominique Williams was born and raised in Guildford and has lived in the area with her husband and family for the past six years. She runs her photography business from home and this has enabled her to build strong connections with the local economy and community.
She is aware that Shalford ward is a mix of homeowners, shared ownership and social housing residents meaning a variety of different issues need addressing. She is a strong campaigner on fixing potholes as well as helping with speeding and parking problems.
She was encouraged to become a Liberal Democrat candidate when she saw the work the council was doing locally to upgrade local housing stock and could see what a difference being a strong local voice pushing for change can achieve for local communities which have so much potential, but which have been neglected for decades.
