Julia McShane has been borough councillor for Westborough for 12 years. Guildford born and raised she lives in Park Barn where she has a strong record of community service. She has served for 22 years as a governor at Guildford Grove School.
As Lead Cllr for Community, she inspired the development of the Hive as an inter-generational hub for everyone. In her role as Lead Cllr for Housing she is leading the transformation of the housing service. Responsible for the increased budget to improve council homes, she is also leading work to develop new council homes at Guildford Park Road.
She cares passionately about the community and has developed important relationships across a wide network of people who share the same values & principles.
She is a strong voice for Westborough and is privileged to serve as Leader of the Borough Council.
