Steve Hives
Guildford Borough Councillor for Stoke
Steve Hives is a resident of Guildford having moved here in 2007. He and his family are active in the community attending local scout, church and sporting groups. Now retired from the NHS Steve devotes much of his time as a Councillor to addressing the needs of the residents of Stoke Ward as well advocating on the behalf of military personnel and their families who live in the Borough for better health, education and housing welfare.
Steve says, "When I go to meet people the local issues that they tell me that need addressing are the day-to-day issues, such as access to GP services; environmental issues like the dumping of sewage in the River Wey; modernising the town whilst maintaining its long-established character.
"I will continue to do my best for the people of Guildford and its surrounding areas and will try to make Guildford a better place to live."
