Back Zöe’s fight to improve GP access

Liberal Democrat campaigner Zöe Franklin is fighting to improve access to GPs in Guildford and our villages.

Years of failure and neglect from this Conservative Government have left our health services in crisis. Zöe and the Lib Dems want to guarantee everyone can get an urgent GP appointment when they need one.

Across Surrey there has been a £9.2 million cut to GP funding. This leaves patients waiting days or weeks for an appointment which can mean pain, distress and even delay crucial referrals for more serious conditions. Zöe and the Lib Dems are committed to our GPs and primary care professionals being at the heart of our precious NHS. We believe there should be a legal right to see a GP within seven days, or within 24 hours for patients in urgent need.
