You may have heard about recent developments in Parliament concerning the Climate and Nature Bill. Unfortunately, the Labour Government signalled they were not prepared to let the Bill pass under any circumstances.
Yesterday, votes were counted across Surrey for the two new unitary councils - West and East Surrey. In a historic win, both new Surrey councils are to be run by the Liberal Democrats! Here in Guildford Borough, we won 12 out of 20 new council seats.
We want to thank everyone who voted for our councillors and for us to run the council. There are challenges ahead, but there is also an enormous opportunity.

I was pleased to get my feet back under the desk in Westminster on 6th January, when Parliament returned from the winter recess. While our hard work did not stop over the festive period, it was wonderful to enjoy some quality time with friends and family.
